New Barry M Nail Paints - Aquarium and Pastels

I haven't been that excited by nail polish for a while but all of a sudden there seems to be loads of new releases that I can't wait to get my hands on! My last blog post was all about the Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel collection which is super cute and today I thought I'd let you know about two fab new collections from Barry M.

First of all, Barry M have added to their amazing Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint range with some beautiful pastel shades that are perfect for Spring. The shades from left to right are Huckleburry, Rose Hip and Sugar Apple. I just had to have all 3 shades as I love the Gelly formulation. It's thick, applies smoothly and leaves a very shiny finish. They are great quality and these new shades are no exception. I was thinking these pastel shades might apply with streaks as pastel shades often do but these had no streaks at all, it was such a lovely surprise! I used 2 coats of the polishes for a fully opaque look but they were actually quite opaque with just 1 coat. It's hard to believe these polishes are just £3.99 each at Boots (link).

The other new collection which I was equally excited about is the Aquarium Collection which is very mermaid-esque. There are 6 polishes in this collection and I picked up my 3 favourites. I love the duochrome effects of Pacific (blue-green) and Caspian (gold-pink) and think they will be amazing for the Summer. They make me want to go somewhere tropical! The glitter polish with gold and pink glitter chunks called Treasure Chest is also stunning. It's in a clear base so I think it's best applied as a top coat and it goes perfectly on top of the Caspian shade. These are also £3.99 each and the full shade range is available on the Boots website here.

Have you bought any of these polishes?
