YSL Rouge Pur Couture in Fuchsia Clandestin

Today I've got a luxurious item to show you! I'd been saving up my Boots Advantage Card points as I like to spend them on something expensive that I wouldn't normally buy. I was torn between a Yves Saint Laurent lipstick or a Chanel lipstick. After many recommendations of a YSL lipstick, I went with one of those.

Once at the YSL counter, it was very difficult to narrow down my choice to just one lipstick but I managed to decide on a Rouge Pur Couture lipstick in a limited edition shade from the Rebel Nudes collection.

The most striking thing about this product is the amazing gold packaging that screams luxury. I don't know if it's just me but I think using something like this makes you feel really special so it's nice if you are able to buy something like this every once in a while.

The shade I bought is called Fuchsia Clandestin and it's a beautiful combination of red and pink. I think it's a colour that will look great all year round. One swipe of the lipstick is all it takes for a strong pigmented look and I found this very easy to apply neatly without having to line the lips beforehand. It has a moisturising feel on the lips and a satin finish. I haven't given this product a full road test so I can't comment too much on the longevity but when I tried to remove this lipstick after taking my photos, it was quite hard to get off! It reminded me of a lip stain so I reckon this would last a fair few hours before needing another application.

I'm really glad I bought this and I'm tempted to pick up another of these lipsticks or maybe a Rouge Volupté Shine next time I've got some points to spend!

Have you tried any YSL lipsticks?
What do you like spending your Boots points on?
