ELF Haul: July 2013

For some reason in the years I've spent obsessing over beauty products and buying anything and everything, I'd never bought anything from ELF (http://eyeslipsface.co.uk/) before. That was until an email came through for a 60% off sale! Well that was it, I was straight on the website ordering away. It was their biggest ever discount so how could I refuse?!

I only received my order today so I won't be reviewing any of the products in this post but I thought I'd show you what I bought and let you know that the sale is still on if you're wanting to buy anything. The code for UK & EU customers is 600713, and 600714 if you're in Italy. The minimum spend is £25.

I bought the HD Blush in Diva, a hot pink shade. It wasn't my first choice of colour but others were sold out and I fancied trying one of these blushes after seeing them on a few blogs. It's a bright shade that I'm not sure will go with my pale skin but I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone and try it!

I'd always fancied buying one of the Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powders as it looks like a dupe for the NARS version. I went for the shade St Lucia as it didn't look too dark for my skin. I'm pretty impressed with the packaging, it's really sturdy and has a nice big mirror in the lid. It's bigger than I expected too!

I spotted the Eyebrow Lifter & Filler in a light shade and thought it seemed like a nice product to try so that was straight in my basket. As you can see below it's a double ended pencil with a filling in colour for the brow and a highlighter for the arch. It also has a handy sharpener in the lid.

I've almost run out of my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion and I haven't been looking forward to replacing it. It's not the most exciting purchase and it's not that cheap either! I'd been thinking about trying one of the new shades rather than the original one and when I spotted the Eyelid Primer in a Champagne shade I thought it was well worth a go instead of splashing out on an expensive version!

I'm into crayon style products at the moment so I am looking forward to trying the Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in the shade French Lace. I'm hoping this champagne gold will be good for a quick and easy daytime look.

I also added to my ever increasing collection of lip products! I spotted the Lip Balm SPF 15 in a range of shades and wondered if they would be like the Revlon Lip Butters so I added the Peach colour into my basket. It looks like a nice vibrant colour so I'm hoping some of that transfers on to the lips.

For a while I've been wanting to try the Matte Lip Colors as I've seen those on a few blogs too. I always thought I'd pick the shade Coral when I eventually got round to buying one but I surprised myself and chose Natural; a dusky pink colour.

Yep, another crayon product went into this order. This time the Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in the shade Flirty & Girly. It's quite unique as it's a dark, sparkly pink. It looks like a good night time colour.

My final item is the Mineral Lipstick in Nicely Nude. It's a nude, browny-pink colour and it's not my usual style but I fancied something different.

Overall my first impressions of this order are great. The packaging isn't the most amazing but I haven't exactly paid high end prices for these products so I'm not too bothered about that. My order came to a total of £15.05 and that includes £2.95 for the delivery so I think I got a lot for my money.

I'll be looking to review some of these products on my blog but I'd love to hear if there are any particular products you want to see a review of first.

Have you bought any products from ELF before? What are your favourites?

  1. I love the St. Lucia palette - it's perfect for travel since I use the bronzer side as eye shadow.
