Topshop Highlighter in Crescent Moon

A few weeks ago I spotted this little beauty on the Topshop makeup stands. Topshop only used to have one powder highlighter which was a bright gold shade called Sunbeam. Despite thinking it looked beautiful I could never purchase it as I didn't think it would work on my super pale skin.

As soon as I saw Crescent Moon I was in love! It looks like a pale gold shade on my photos but it's more of a peachy pink shade. At the time, I decided not to purchase it as I knew the MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Superb was due out soon and didn't think I would need to purchase more than one highlighter since I don't tend to use them. Fast forward a few weeks, the day after payday and I've only gone and bought both! Ah well, they are both beautiful in their own way!

This has the usual white topshop packaging with cute little stars adorning the lid. It was £10.00 which I don't think is too expensive considering I paid £21.50 at MAC for my Skinfinish!

I really like this highlighter as it provides a nice metallic sheen to the skin rather than a shimmery, glittery look. It's really pigmented and easy to blend in too. On the photo below I am wearing it on my browbone and across the top of my cheeks. Last night I tried it in the inner corner of my eyes as well and it looked really nice.

Next time you're in Topshop definitely give this one a swatch, you won't regret it ;) It's also available on the website if you don't have a Topshop near you.

Do you like Topshop makeup? Is this on your wishlist?

  3. I saw this on another blogger's YouTube Channel and thought it looked lovely applied! But it didn't do a close up of the highlighter itself so I'm glad I've seen this post :-) It gives your skin such a lovely sheen!
