September Favourites

So here are the products I was loving in September. A couple of these items were new purchases in September but most of them I had already. Here are my favourites at a glance:

I will talk about my skincare faves first. The Elemis Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser was bought as a set from Debenhams which was great value for £49 but had a value of double that amount. Elemis products are quite expensive but they do some great value sets in the shops and on QVC. I love watching Elemis on QVC but it makes me want everything! Anyway...back to the cleanser! I've tried one other hot cloth cream cleanser and that was Boots No7. I can't say I was that impressed with it and I got bored of it after a few weeks. This one is amazing though. It smells quite herbally but not unpleasant. The results are great though. It keeps my skin soft and free from flakes! Often cleansers dry my skin out so much it feels uncomfortable if I don't moisturise immediately afterwards. This one keeps my skin nice and balanced though. The Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner also came in the set for £49 and it's something I've bought before. It's really nice as it's not harsh on the skin so you don't feel like you're stripping the moisture away. It's just a lovely step before adding moisturiser. It smells lovely too, exactly like apricots. My final skincare product is the Lush Tea Tree Water which I used for a week or so as a toner when I had some bad spots on my chin. I also love the smell of this one and it's great just to keep putting onto your skin whenever you feel like it as it doesn't contain lots of nasty chemicals.

I bought the Original Source Shower Cream in Vanilla Milk and Raspberry on a whim in Boots as it was only a pound. This smells soooo good. Honestly it's like strawberry milkshake, I often wish I could drink it! Don't think it would taste very nice though... haha. It's moisturising on the skin which is always great in a shower gel and the scent does linger on the skin for a while after using it so that's another good point. The Lee Stafford Argan Oil Miracle Heat Defence Spray is my first venture into Argan Oil hair products. I'd seen the products in Boots for a while and fancied giving them a go and thought why not when it was 3 for 2. This product can be used on wet hair before blow drying then on dry hair before using straighteners/tongs/etc. I like it as it doesn't make your hair greasy when using it and it smells quite nice too. I find it does make my hair looks quite shiny as well. It's a nice change from using the Toni & Guy one I've used for years!

On to make up products now. I love this Benefit lipgloss I got in my Her Name Was Glowla set last Christmas. (I really want some of this years gift sets now too - really good value!) The lipgloss wasn't limited edition or anything so it can be bought for £14.00 on it's own. I just love the colour as it's a shimmery pinky nude - perfect for a night out. The packaging is thick plastic and looks luxurious. I love pretty packaging! The actual lipgloss is perfect though as it isn't sticky and yet again it has a lovely smell. I'm also loving the Daniel Sandler Baby Jet mascara I got in my August GlossyBox. It has a really thin brush which I think is amazing at coating and separately all of my lashes. It doesn't go clumpy either which is great! Another favourite is the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. I kept seeing this on lots of blogs so decided I had to have some for myself as I hate the dark circles under my eyes. This is a great full coverage concealer that has a very light shade perfect for my skin tone. I wouldn't say it fully covers my circles as I don't think anything will but it's certainly one of the best concealers I've tried and it was less than a fiver so I think that's brilliant.

The last item on my list is this Pixi Wakeup Kit. I don't think you can buy this set anymore as I got it last year or the year before. It was around £25 I think. It's great as it contains concealers, eyeshadows, lipglosses and blush/highlighers. I never really use the bottom layer that contains the lipglosses and blushes as I don't really like the kind of lipglosses that come in a palette where u need to swirl your finger or brush in it. They are really nice colours though. Anyway, what I use this for is my everyday eyeshadows. As you can see there are 3 that I use a lot. They are all quite natural peachy or brown shimmery shades that I can just effortlessly apply in the morning before work as I don't bother doing any fancy blending.

Excuse the greasy parts around the concealer where I swatched them! I don't actually use these.

Hope this wasn't too boring to read! Send me links to your favourites as I love reading/watching that sort of thing :)

Thanks for reading,
Suzy
